Grace attended the Stockholm Furniture Fair recently. Here’s what she had to say about her trip…
“Landing in Stockholm without snow was a shock but lovely as ever!
Straight to the fair on Thursday lunchtime to check out what the Lammhults stand had in store for us this year. Arriving at the fair to find a very colourful vibrant stand which really stood out in the crowd! Centre stage was the new Teius bench system, surrounded by a collections of furniture which demonstrated the diversity of the Lammhults collection which have been manufactured for the last 75 years!
Following an afternoon at the fair and sharing a few cheeky drinks in the Lammhults showroom in town that night, on Friday morning I met some friends and colleagues from Coexistence, Universal Design and If Not Now Then When at the Mobel Design Museum. Lars Bülow and Kersti Sandin have been collecting furniture for over 40 years and for the last three years these pieces have been on display in Stockholm. We had the pleasure of a guided tour from Lars himself who gave us some fantastic insights into the pieces, making it an experience to remember!
Friday afternoon was slightly quieter at the fair so I had a chance to wonder around and nosey at some of the other stands. I thought the colours and themes this year were quite varied, but a few trends I did notice were quite a few furry seating elements for that super boujee look and also some corduroy upholstery which I thought was interesting and different.
Over all it was a very informative and successful trip!”
