Luca Nichetto began his career as a glass maker and later became a product designer and consultant for lighting company Foscarini. In 2006 he founded his studio in Venice, and in 2011, he moved to Stockholm, Sweden, and opened a second studio there, combining his Italian flair with the Swedish spirit of modernity and sustainability.

Nichetto has designed two stunning armchairs for our partners at Artifort  in 2017 he created Pala, and in 2021 he designed Glider.

Pala is a fully upholstered armchair on a pedestal. The design follows the shape of a human body and combines Artifort’s heritage with a contemporary approach. The striking Pala works well in homes, hotels, waiting areas and lounges.

With its organic design, Glider offers an attractive, relaxed seating experience in lobbies and lounges. The gentle curvature of the upholstery and the myriad details make this charismatic stand out, harnessing detailed upholstery techniques to provide unprecedented comfort.
