As I’ve said before – Clerkenwell Design Week is my favourite time of year.
I also love how the sun always seems to make an appearance for the three days too!
With CDW being on our doorstep (quite literally), all of the best furniture manufacturers in town put on a show and I love the buzz our industry has during this three day ‘festival’.
For us this year it was all about showcasing what Lammhults launched in Stockholm back in February. Following on from the success of the popular Attach table, we demonstrated the new Ponto table, (also designed by the talented Troels Grum-Schwensen), which uses a similar gravity designed concept but the legs are made of 3 pieces of solid wood and slide onto the beam system under the table top.
Rather than being in one of the temporary structures erected for CDW, this year we were thrilled to be a part of Umbrella+Friends and felt very at home in the stunning Wagstaff/Umbrella showroom along with the likes of Vitra, Established & Sons and Viccarbe.
Having Lammhults on display for CDW meant we were joined in London by a few Swedish colleagues, and enjoyed looking at various showrooms including the beautiful Arper showroom, as well as the new Abstracta showroom which includes a few Lammhults products!
With the Crest team out in force, our collective highlights included the Bisley gin evening, the Culture + The Workplace talk at Haworth & The Gallery’s paella afternoon! (Can I use this opportunity to say – yes, I did get a hole-in-one at their mini golf!)
Whilst out and about it was great to see a number of the products we sell within top showrooms including; Carpet Sign in Brunner, Cascando in Dauphin and Luceplan in Sedas.
If you weren’t able to attend Clerkenwell during the three days for CDW, panic not! You will still find our temporary pop-up within the Umbrella/Wagstaff showroom until 15 June.
Huge thanks again to Umbrella for having us be your ‘friend’ – you guys absolutely smashed it!
