Arata by SKLD Studio is a stunning range of premium outdoor furniture designed by Italian industrial designer Valerio Sommella.

Taking its name from the Japanese word for ‘fresh’ or ‘new’, the collection is built around soft curves and an understated aesthetic that lends itself to dining, lounging and poolside environments.

I designed Arata as a continuous stroke of soft curves that joins the dining area and the pool, seeking a balance between the precision of metal and the warmth of the weaving. Valerio Sommella

The pieces combine powder-coated tubular aluminium frames with handcrafted woven cord/synthetic fibres and plush, weather-resistant cushions.
